I haven't played the two "Amerzone"-parts before this one, so maybe my evaulation of this game is a result of this. I tried playing the demo of "Amerzone Part 3", but I gave up after about 10 minutes into the game. For once, the visuals are not very good, so it is often hard to tell what things are exactly - it is too grainy. The sounds become very quickly very annoying - there is a random constant beeping which drove me nuts. It is also not very intuitive or handy to play this game: all you have are directional arrows, but no hints or tasks you have to fulfill. This leads to a lot of random "walking around". You can interact with some items or collect them (fruits and other stuff), but it is unclear what you need them for. The navigation of this game works through the mouse - you can turn 360 degree, and you can look up and down while doing that. However, as long as no arrow or small wheel icon shows up, all this ability to turn etc. doesn't help you much. With the bad graphics it actually just made me feel nauseous. So if you are trying this game out for the first time, this is definitifely not the kind of adventure game you want to go for.
i really enjoyed this it was very fun
At first I thought this was going to be good. Great graphics. I did the trial download and was intrigued so purchased the game. However, what I didn't realise was that I was already so close to finishing. I got about another half hour! Very, very short and not even very challenging, very little interaction, mostly looking around for 'hotspots'. I'd keep your money and go get something else. Very. very disappointed and wish I'd save MY money.
I fell for it twice, and bought parts 1 & 2 of this game. I'm not falling for it a 3rd time. The graphics were decent, but that's the only good thing I can say about this series. I was amazed how short the games are. My recommendation? Don't waste your money. Seems like the creators of this series just tossed something together quickly to make some bucks.
I really enjoyed this game. This final chapter was the most enjoyable. Perhaps, that is because the story finally came together. The graphics were not as slick as many newer games but that is not a problem because it is a real ?sit and figure it out? kind of game. Great game for those who don?t need a lot of bells and whistles and HOG?s to keep them entertained. Not terribly difficult. Final scene is worth the wait.
I remember these other one's now. Just a sinceless game. Round and round no direct and no purpose. DUMB No clues searching and finding nothing
the creativity, music, sounds that made me feel like I was there, storyline, were all wonderful. I really love the games by benoit sokal, even sinking island :), and was willing to deal with the fact that amerzone was broken up into three parts.
In Amerzone Part 3, travel to the source of the Amerzone, see the amazing drawings from the explorer's journal come to life, navigate the swamp and discover the native village. Reach the mountain tops and absolve the dictator while completing an act that may ultimately free a country. This is the more challenging of the 3-part series. Beno?t Sokal's 1999 first-person adventure game is presented by BFG in 3 separately downloadable parts. BFG doesn't provide a walk-through but there are several excellent walk-throughs of the original game available archived on the internet. A good example of an early quest style mystery game, the artwork is breathtaking and is a stand-alone reason for experiencing the game. The graphics are somewhat blocky and dark, making it difficult to see some scenes. Amerzone is not the type of game with which modern players are familiar. It is a story-driven immersive interactive novel or movie rather than a typical HOG. The puzzles are not overly challenging. It is not a long game, easily completed in 3 to 4 hours. One of the criticisms when the game was originally released is the user interface, which presents a few issues. There is no user manual, no hint system, and no written dialogue. Internal game instructions appear once at appropriate times as hand-drawn information boxes. Documents the user collects during gameplay provide background information, more lovely artwork, and hints to puzzle completion. The early point-and-click style of interaction where the player clicks on a symbol near an interactive object in a static scene may be initially confusing If you wish to use something from inventory, you activate it and it stays active until you deactivate it.
This game is not a new game. This was released in 1999, so we have to compare it with late 90 games not with new ones. This game was sesigned by Benoit Sokal (the designer of Syberia I and II), and this is his first game. Big fish game only re-release this game now because the original one was only playable on win 95, and in compatibility the visual was awful. Now the game's visual is good. Yes the game interface is not very helpful for beginners and for the young generation, but it's good for people who likes challanges. My only problems with this re-released is that, they did not create subtitles under the dialoges, and they split it to parts. This game is perfect for nostalgia, new players only play with it if you want to know how a first person andventure game looked like more then 10 years ago.
Thisis the worst game I have ever downloaded. And I have downloaded some bad ones. Pointless..endless..senseless!
