FUN GAME!

The story is interesting and the game is pretty easy to play. It's relaxing!

Around The World HdO

This is a hidden object game in which you click and drag the entire scene and you can zoom in and out as well. I really like the story in which a rich eccentric and keenly punctual man, Phileas Fogg, takes the bet that he can travel around the world in 80 days. You get a total of 6 hints until you will need to find hidden stars that will replenish the hints. You search the rooms indoor and out for the listed items, some of the items you find will be used as inventory such as a key that will be used later to open the safe. There are also scenes in which you find multiple items such as 15 horseshoes, newspapers or even cards where you find all spades or all odd numbered cards. There are mini games such as finding matching gears or swapping tiles to form a complete picture. I really enjoyed this game which seems very laid back and relaxing, enjoy!

VERY easy HOG with nice graphics

Like many of the other HdO adventure games, "Around the World in 80 Days - the Challenge" has beautiful graphics (in many scenes you can also move the scene by scrolling) and nice sound. It is based on the famous novel, which is a nice change from the plot lines of many hidden object games in which you have to safe someone, or which are slightly creepy. It is a bright and well done game that promises relaxation. So far the good side. However, for experienced players, this game is a disappointment, as most of the hidden object scenes are far too easy or somewhat repetitive with the objects (find 20 bottles / 20 times smoke, ...), and the mini mages are far too easy. This leads me to question if this might be a game for younger players? You have to sort through a lot of colour-coded socks (match the pairs), cards, etc. which gets tiresome very quickly. There are two modes to play the game: timed and relaxed. After finishing the game, you can revisit the mini games in an extra menue. During the game, you can collect stars: In the relaxed mode, they serve as hints, in the timed mode they buy you time. Overall, nicely done, but really only something for beginners or young players. The level of challenge is too easy. Even the timed mode is very easy. Also, there is quite a lot of (unnecessary) dialogue, and you need to keep clicking to get to the next piece of dialogue - that ends up being a lot of clicking. Play the demo first before deciding to buy it.

Could be much better.

This is definitely a game for HOG extremists. I could only play for about 30 minutes of the trial because once you think you're done with one list of things to find, you get 10 seconds of dialogue and BOOM another one.....again and again and again. I loved the scenery and the miniscule amount of storyline that the dialogue seemed to offer, but it just seemed to drag on far too much for me. In my opinion, this game shouldn't be in the Adventure section whatsoever. It's clear that it's strictly Hidden Object, which isn't a bad thing by any means, but when you're an adventure-lover like me, games like this totally throw you off.

please play demo first

this game is a true waste of time. Demo showed promise but not enough hints for me or direction of what to do next. big disappointment

Wasted money

Once you get to the end of the trip thats it nothing to play. I like games that have more than one story line to it. Being on a fixed income can't buy many games and this one not good,
