The Awakening games just keep getting better. This is a great game. Keeps you thinking about what has to be done next and with what items. The objects are not easy to find you really have to look around, the mini games are not just about looking for items you have to use them with each other so they interact and then you can progress to the next scene The hint button is very good I found myself having to use it on a couple of occasions. The story line is good and makes sense. In all this is a lovely game only problem is the hour goes to quickly. I definitely recomend this game with a ++++
Excellent game from boomzap, the best in the series. If you are really into plot it?s best to play the series as this isn?t a stand alone game. It does give you some recaps so you aren?t lost re plot if you haven?t played the others. For those that love a lot of straight HOS this is not your game. I?d class this as a puzzle with adventure with a few varied type of HOS game. There are not a lot of HOS even the varied type, so this will either please you like me, or you will be disappointed. There are 3 choice of play settings and you can?t change them once you start (until bonus) and the hardest is hard ? no transporter map tips, no instructions to puzzles and no skip on puzzle but you do get a hint button. I rate this a 5/5 hardness if you play on the hardest setting. What I love about this game is that the transporter map is completely new each chapter. You don?t go back into old areas ? each chapter is completely different setting. Also you don?t repeat any HOS. Thank you for both these things, it?s rare and it takes a lot more effort on the part of the DEV to do this. HIDDEN OBJECTS SCENES (HOS) ? 20 in main game. 8 list, 7 find ?x? amount of same item, 3 find ?pic? (ie runes) in the scene, 1 find pairs, 1 find silhouette, There is a random click penalty, they are all (bar one) very highly interactive on all the different types. There are no junk piles, no repeating of HOS. But even though there aren?t many most of them took a long time to do as there were very interactive. They are not sharp due to the type of graphics and some were hard to find due to blendness and a couple of tiny items. PUZZLES ? (numbers are roughly as I didn?t have a skip button, it was hard to judge what was a puzzle) ? 67 in main game!! Puzzle lovers you will adore this game. Others don?t be put off as a lot of these are done in way under a minute and a fair few are super easy. What is ingenious as those of us who love a bit more of a challenge gets it by trying to work out what the puzz
Bought this untried on the Merits of the previous Titles in this series. I am NOT Disappointed in the least ! ~ Excellent Storyline ~ Music Soft & soothing (Although I personally wind up Muting after a quick listen & "watch" TV in background as I play:) ~ Challenge..Again Personal Prefs... HO not my Fave, so I tend to play them on Pre-Toddler Levels of Difficulty.. There ARE other Skills Avail... Normal & Hard {8-0 skeerrrry } ~ Pleasant & Beautiful Graphics ~~Over-all, Relaxing, Chill-Pill Game.. Great respite from Click-Mania... Awakening, along with Love Story & Mystery Club are Titles That I will continue to add to my Collection~~ Y'All Enjoy :) `LMc`
I loved all the previous games of the Awakenings Series and after a long wait, Princess Sopie is back on her journey to find her missing people and battle wits with her evil foe, the Dreadmyre. As a CE version, this game comes with all the Bells and Whistles; terrific Graphics , stunning artwork, voice-overs and a list of achievements to complete. Unfortunately as I have only played the demo, I am not able to access the CG nor gain entrance to the bonus sections. However based on my gaming experience with the previous installments, I have no doubt that this game will offer me hours of endless pleasures. Game options include three game modes and Game features include a journal and list of goals, a trusty owl companion who acts as hint and guide, a pocket dragon who gives you the power to burn and a interactive map for fast-travel. There is a question mark on the bottom left that when clicked on, will give you directions as where to go and what to do. This is an addition help system other than the hint button so with this, who really needs a Strategy Guide. The game is a very good HOPA, lots of adventure elements and HO scenes that differ. There are scenes where you find listed objects that are interactive, or pair off items as well. There are mini-games which were so far relatively easy to play but they do seem to get more complex as you move on. Awakenings is a beautiful game to watch and play, I love the story, the characters and the visuals. A game well worth the price and time. Kudos to the developers for bringing Sophie back to us.
It took only 10 minutes of playing the demo for me to buy this next game in the Awakening series. I have them all, and it didn't take long to see that this one is just as good as the rest. Gorgeous artwork, wonderful voiceovers, beautiful, haunting music. The story draws you in and transports you into Princess Sophia's world. You want to keep playing to see what happens next as she seeks to be reunited with her family and defeat the Shadow. She has a few helpers, the baby dragon and the owl, who accompany her on the journey and assist her along the way. The gameplay is not super hard, so most of the tasks, HOS, and mini-games don't require lots of hints or skips (so far anyway). The game has a nice summary of the story thus far, so if you're new the series, you can play this one without having played the rest. But you may find you want them all! Kudos to BoomZap for the quality and attention to detail it puts into these games. Beautifully done and very enjoyable to play.
We have Princess Sofia, our adorable Pocket Dragon, our most helpful owl, an interactive map, and an adventure with lots of things to do, plenty of HOS and fun puzzles (some quite unique) to solve - and, unfortunately, a conclusion to this lovely series. What's not to like! The artwork again is picturesque and beautifully drawn, the narrator pleasant to listen to, the story appealing and the music relaxing. This is a polished, creative and enchanting series and this final journey measures up to the first three.
I just love this series of games and this one does not disappoint! It is continuing the story of Princess Sophia and her quest to find her family as well as her "people". I think that the art design on this game is fantastic and I love all the different types of creatures that are met along the way. The owl and the pocket dragon are with us again and quite clever and helpful. I always play these games on the casual level simply because I am as enchanted with the storyline as anything and I am just not one to play these games on the harder level, so I can't really speak to that particular issue. The HO scenes on this game are the straightforward HOs that I see on most games as there are often multiple steps in creating a object before it can be picked up. The sound on this game is fine and not at all intrusive in my opinion but I often play these games with no sound and rely on the dialogue boxes so I want to be clear about that. I also think the minigames are great fun and quite creative. I love all of the little extras in this series of games and feel that the designers have really put a lot of time and effort into creating an holistic gaming environment. I went through the first hour in what seemed like 15 minutes and then immediately purchased it. If you haven't played any of the Awakenings games yet, I would encourage you to start at the beginning and then play through all of them. If you are an HO fan, as I am then I promise that you will get a lot of amusement and fun out of this series of games. Enjoy!!
BoomZap came through with this one! I played the demo and it is beautifully crafted as the last three Awakening games. Music, voice overs and graphics are crisp and well done. This is a definite buy and I say to Boomzap "Two Thumbs Way Up"
This game is an absolute stunner, it has everything from different mini puzzles to delightful game play, the graphics, story and music are first class also, The game has three play modes and I am playing on the second one which is fairly difficult but nowhere near impossible and I for one hate games that are so simple there isn't any point in playing, I don't think Ive ever had a bad game from this developer and this one is exceptional.
I love the 'Awakening' series and now here is what I've been waitng for. The story is as good as ever the mini games are excellent ... it keeps the brain cells moving all the time. Princess Sophia and her companions are once again on a rescue mission. I found the opening music very gentle but lovely. I don't use sound when i am actually playing the game. Thank you Devs - first class once more. Thank you BFG - this is another definite buy. I can't say anything more.
