This is a different take on hidden object. This is the funnest most creative hidden object game Ive ever played! I was amazed at how many levels there are, and always new things to find and fun quests to solve with different stuff, extremely cool sound track too! Bravo! I enjoyed it greatly. Thank you BigFish.

I love the concept ot the game. You have a large map to explore with many surprises on the way. The characters are all a little crazy. You never quite know what you'll come across next. Although I don't care for the overall theme of potty humour (never been a fan#, I'm still enjoying the collecting of things and helping out the many citizens. Most of them will pay you for your efforts and you need the money to buy stuff to complete other tasks. Good: -excellent map -flags you can place on the map to help you find your way #you'll need it# -unlimited inventory -journal to keep track of your tasks -highly addictive, once you start it's hard to stop -very long gameplay, excellent value for money -two game modes, extreme and casual #extreme is more fun if you like to figure things out for yourself and want longer play time# so-so: -some spelling errors / some items not named correctly -you can only play one game at a time #two people can't have their own player account# -the underground train system #I've never used it because it's much more fun running around the streets and finding little surprises here and there# -way too much potty humour and other gross stuff -character's speech is garbled, but the dialog is written as well bad: -that annoying cop who keeps popping up every now and then #he serves no purpose and while he makes his silly comments you can't do anything at all# hints: -keep a record of who lives where, because you'll never remember them all and the map doesn't tell you -some things you find will leave you covered in 'stuff' and nobody will talk to you or give you things, so you need to find a water source to clean up, there are several throughout the town #just click on it and you're all washed up# -keep a look out for empty bottles and cigarette packs on the way as you can sell these #I won't tell you where# -some items you can find, some are given to you for completion of

This is the one game you should buy this year. Breaking the mold on the typical adventure game, City of Fools is simply the best game of the year. I had no expectation when first downloaded, but quickly purchased, then couldn't stop playing for days until I finally completed it. This is a tough game, but worth the rewards. Constantly entertaining, witty as can be, complex, and challenging. Can't wait to play this again and again. Highest recommendation possible!

This game can get to be addictive! The non-linear style allows you to just explore as you want to and as soon as you have the money for the plane ticket you can finish, or you can carry on and complete the 100+ tasks available. The toilet humour does get a little thin on the ground and getting covered in faeces (which you then have to wash off) seems a little pointless. The policeman popping up ever so often is also slightly irritating. However, the rest of the game is cute and you seem to have a neverending city of weird characters and locations. It's very easy to completely miss a location, passing it dozens of times before you even realise it is there. It can be frustrating but still fun when you discover a new place. A tip: make a detailed list of every building: the number, who is in it and what they want. The map is also incredibly helpful to find your way around. Unfortunately, the tutorial is a little vague and you have to work a lot out for yourself about how to do this. I wish I had realised early on how important detailed notes would be. The ending is somewhat odd and perhaps not as fulfilling as it ought to be but the length and fun factor of this game make it well worth buying.

As soon as I saw this release I was pretty sure I was going to buy it, but to make sure I went ahead and checked out the free trial, and I was right, I just bought it before the trial was even over because I wanted to keep playing without interruption! This game is easy to follow but still has the normal challenges to help keep you going throughout the game.

Whew...just finished! I literally spent over nine hours playing this; couldn't stop until it was over and all the tasks were completed. Note that it is possible to finish the game without completing all the tasks; your objective is to accumulate enough money to fly out to an island to meet the Mayor, after which the game ends. If you complete all the tasks, you'll earn at least twice what you need to buy a ticket, so you don't have to do everything. But if you're like me, you'll not want to leave the mainland until you've helped all the crazy people who want to give you money! Those of you who plan to rely on the walkthrough, be warned that many, many of the tasks are missing from it, so you'll be on your own for some of them. Having said that, the hint system is very helpful, so you shouldn't miss any items you need. Towards the end, I had to write down all the numbers of places I had visited so I could figure out what I had left to do. There were a few spelling mistakes (not enough to seriously annoy) and the tutorial for a puzzle involving pipes described it as a jigsaw puzzle, which it was not. Other than that, I didn't notice any editing errors. With a game this large and with so many locations and characters, you'd expect a few to sneak past. The puzzles were varied and, for the most part, not difficult. There were a few mini-game type puzzles (defusing a bomb, playing soccer) where, if you messed it up the first time, you wouldn't have another chance to play. But there were others (a shooting gallery, a couple of gambling games) where you could earn more money whenever you pleased. There's a policeman who occasionally harasses you; he's funny for awhile, but after the 90th time he showed up, he was getting a little tiresome. (Maybe if he'd said more than about four different things I would have been more patient with him.) I would have loved for the map to be interactive; I wore out at least seven pairs of shoes by the time it was all said and done. (It did help to write down where

Yes, the humor can get a little low-brow but it is really Monty Python-esque fun! Nice change from creepy chasing evil games. It is so darn funny that I laughed most of the way thru it. Lots of collecting alot of inventory and wandering from place to place helping silly people for money. Lots of wacky characters and their zany problems with improbable solutions, this game is VERY FUNNY!!!! Also, to speed up transit time, check out the under city transportation system. You just enter almost any house or apartment to receive quests. Puzzles are crazy like a jigsaw puzzle with extra pieces. It's just for fun and I loved it!

An adventure game that goes on forever, crammed with stuff you don't know you need 'til you need it. The "adult" stuff has to do with a more or less running excrement joke--something I ordinarily find tiresome at best--which doesn't come up all that often and is perfectly bearable in the context when it does. There's a map that tells you where you are in relation to where you want to be, but there's no jumping to get there #although you can take the "subway" when you can find an entrance# and if you hate backtracking, you'll deeply hate this one. Still, I don't know when I've had more fun than when I played it...both times so far #bought it from the developer ages ago.#

I have really enjoyed this game so far (just finished demo and decided to buy) - lots of challenge, and a lot to keep track of. If you are playing remember to knock on all doors. You have to try this one to really appreciate it. There are so many things about this game that should have turned me off but somehow they didn't. This is something completely different, a completely non linear game with so many different ways to go. You arrive in a town with the task of finding the mayor to get him to confess about recent UFO activity, you aren't really given any instructions, you just wander around going to different places and meeting different people. This should put you off but somehow doesn't. The people you meet are all straight out of the asylum (lots of them sound like flies buzzing when they talk) and all have different tasks for you to complete for them. You earn money for completed tasks to buy items for other tasks. The map is huge and it's easy to get lost but there is a marker to help, getting lost is not really a problem though as there's usually another strange resident waiting round the corner with something for you to do. Graphics are cartoony but clear, controls are responsive and the musics ok. The humour is sometimes a bit childish but even I laughed in places. One hour is not enough to get to grips with this one - this is a must buy for me. No good for those of you who don't like moving around much and who like precise hints and tips, but I loved it!
