There is not much of variation in locations, but a fine and relaxing game
Marie has been arrested for murder and calls on Alex whom she broke up with three years ago to help her find out what the Downtown Secrets involve. The dialogue is quite adequate but tends to be a little overdone in some cases, but does not distract from the game too much. The graphics started a bit on the dark side at the beginning of the game but they seemed to get a little brighter as the story moved on. This made the hidden objects a tad hard to find at the start but with concentration and a bit of effort improved a good deal and made the task of locating the bits and pieces a lot easier as the game progressed. The pulsating ring invoked scenes from the past and made a pleasant diversion from the standard search and click genre. This was an entertaining game laced with a bit of intrigue and contained a dash of drama just to top it off.
Yes I loved this game due to the fact that it was a true HOG! Nice interaction between the characters, graphics good, storyline was easy to follow.
I played this one when it first out and I never leave a review before. For this I give 5 stars because I have fun 'til the end and good storyline. There's a lot HO so if you are like this kind genre or if you looking a game for spending your lazy time then try this one. Thanks dev!
Why complain that a game advertised as a hidden object has surprise, surprise a lot of hidden object scenes. If, like me, you love a good hidden object game then this game from Shining Tales might be your cup of tea; the graphics are really clear & crisp & the artwork is splendid. There are no voiceovers & the music wasn?t so great but I used my own. The hidden objects are within the main scenes although you also have to delve into cupboards & drawers, there are no sparkles so watch for your cursor to change. The hint will show a picture of the item you are searching for & it recharges in 30 seconds. Part way into the game you will get a ring that can be used to see the locations in previous time frames; once you elect to use it the cursor changes & as you move around the scene invisible objects become visible & you can click on them. There are a few puzzles to break up the HOs a little, they are not too hard. I found that if you leave the game part way through finding a list of objects in a scene it is not saved so that when you return you have to start the list again. The game is also very short; it took me less than two hours to play so I advise waiting for a sale to buy.
Good and clear graphics, good sound, nice story... but... only HOS and long...long... long dialogues (and some you can not skip, you have to keep clicking). The worst part is: you do not have to think ... all it has to be done appears written on the screem !! Not challenging !!
I have only tried the trial version but intend to buy this game. Yes, it is pretty much HOG but is still fun nonetheless. Storyline is also enjoyable. If it is almost entirely HOG's you like (keeping in mind I have only completed the trial version but I did get quite far into it), then I don't think you will go wrong.
