One of those games that are sooooo easy to review. I do not have a single complaint. Love Vogat. Excellent game on so many levels. Very nice IHOG. Loads in well with no glitches. Strategy guide included. Story line is cohesive and interesting. Characters are delightful. Items appropriate to the story. Graphics are clear and crisp. Even the few darker scenes have great resolution. A lot of moving around with many, many locations but logical movement. Music appropriate, imaginative and not intrusive. Hint refills at a good pace. Mini games are challenging but not difficult with some thought. Skip button available for mini games. No real penalty, just a warning, for over clicking. Long game play. Took me 6+ hours with only minor interuption. Full screen, wide screen, sound, effects and cursor options. Not one negative other than I was sorry when it ended. Definitely an enjoyable experience! If you are like me and like your HOGs with a nice balance of EVERYTHING this games for you.The Storyline and Characters were interesting, the game had a very good flow. No bugs. The Hint button was very efficient ( I like the way it would give you a clue on where to go next if you weren't in the right location, in an indirect manner, causing you to think). The Items pertained to the game as well. I liked the fact that the HOG scenes were not just 1 after another. They were sprinkled here and there. Despite thinking it was a little too dark at first, I Loved it! I wanna play part 2.
This hidden objects game spins of on the Fantasy World genre type. It combines the traditional hidden objects style, along with having to find fragments of objects and piece them together. Nice addition to any collection.
I loved this game. The plot had unexpected moments which delightfully surprised me. First time with BF games.Graphics might not be HD but HO are not eyes straintening. I felt I was exploring places and not a continuous basement.
I really enjoyed playing this game. Good storyline. Hint button works will if needed. Some moving around to find clues but not that bad. A must play.
The Elixir of Immortality is exactly what you are trying to find whilst trying to catch a murderer and endeavouring to prevent him striking again and finally escape this treacherous and mysterious island. The music is pleasing and easy to listen to, there are no voice overs and you don't get bogged down in excessive dialogue. The graphics are bright and colourful and detailed, in some places just a tad dark. There is quite a bit of moving around and backtracking but I think this added to the mystery and excitement of the game - not expecting what is about to happen next. The diary indicated the tasks at hand and sometimes where to go. The puzzles and minigames were very reasonable and not too troublesome but some did require a bit of extra thought. The hidden objects were colourful and ranged from quite simple to find through to some being tricky and requiring a hint or two. There were a couple of places where the walk through blog was needed but when it was consulted it was only then I realised how elementary it was after all. A very good game, I enjoyed it.
A good HOG. The HOS were just the right level, where a couple were quite tricky but I managed not to use a hint. The game itself was quite tricky in places and had me going round in circles, but if you have the patience and hover the mouse over every inch of every page you WILL find what you need. I really enjoyed it and would thoroughly recommend it.
I took quite some time with this game. I never rush through them in order to get to the end. I enjoy playing but also using the walkthroughs otherwise I would get lost and confused. lol The walkthroughs for these games that go back and forth and back again I think are necessary. After all this is a game and to have to 'think' too much would put a damper on it for me anyways. I really enjoyed the characters and the storyline.. Thanks BF cavebear New Brunswick,Canada
I was minutes into this game when I decided it was going to rate 5 stars in MY book - and that hadn't changed by the end! No noticeable glitches in play, runs well! Lovely graphics and objects are appropriate to the place and feel of the game. The story is interesting and unfolds nicely as you go & each character has a very distinct personality & they tie into each other's lives. Lots of HO scenes, which I like & some very unique puzzles too. Starts out pretty straight forward & linnear - but you sure need to use your thinking cap in some spots during the game - so a nice level of challenge & good hint system when you just flat run out of ideas! Kept me interested and engaged throughout - happy gaming!!
This game starts off great and doesn't let the 'player' down. A really good mix of HO scenes and puzzles - that are not too hard. The graphics are fantastic - when you think about what goes into putting one of these games together - WOW! The storyline is easy to follow - and your 'hint' button will help you out by highlighting active zones. What more could you ask for? I liked the music - it was appropriate for the story - and what a story - liked the 'twists'. You have a 'Task Journal' that tells you what you need to do - so basically this game is fun not mind boggling. I really enjoyed playing it and was sorry when it ended.
