In the beginning, your character inherits a house from an elderly lady. In order to raise money for the taxes and to redecorate, you have to find items for your yardsale. Unlike most hidden object games, your searches have a theme (like 'garden items' or '1970s items') rather than a specific list. During the yard sale, you have to match the customer to the item. You're given a hint for that (like 'Santa - the man in the Santa hat - wants some new clothes'), but you have to work fast to match them as there's a timer ticking down on each customer. I think this was the hardest part of the game, and raised the game from an 'ok' level of challenge to a 'good' level. Without this, the game would have been rather poor. You also get to redecorate rooms to earn extra hints, but the furniture and furnishings are limited, so while you can replay that part after the main game is finished, it's not particularly interesting after a couple of plays. You get to play about 7 levels, then you can decorate the basement how you want, and that's the end of the game. I think it would have been more interesting if you could have played longer in order to afford more expensive or varied furniture. If you like fairly short, simple to play games, then this one will appeal. If you want something to dig your teeth into, you'll probably enjoy the yard sale section, but the rest won't interest you much. I've played it twice but it's not one I'll play over and over.
Loved this game! There was so much to do! You had orders you had to follow, but I just found it to be fun and different. My only wish is that it was longer!
is very nice as a game, it would be nice to come out a new version. is very useful for those who need to learn English
One of the few games I actually regreted buying. The idea behind is actually very good, but the game itself is tooooo short. First you have the typical HO scenes, in which you find things in order to sell them at your yard sale, then you have the actual yardsale, where you give customers what they are looking for and with the money you earn, you get to decorate your house by buying various furniture. Sound fun, right?? Well it wasn't!!! To begin with, there are very few furniture options. But the really annoying part is the fact that you play the demo for an hour, and then you buy the game, only to realise that the game ends in about 10 minutes!! And if you want to redecorate your rooms, you can't replay the HO scenes in order to raise money. Like I said, the idea behind the game was good, but it should have been made more versatile and of course longer.
