I loved the first few Farm Frenzy games. I own them all but replay Farm Frenzy 1 and 2 the most. This game will be right with them as well. Besides having the regular game play there is an adventure mode resulting in a total of 172 levels of fun. Some levels are easy but some levels are not and you must put your thinking caps on. I am so glad this came out this year because I bought it the first day and am still playing it.
Pros & Cons- I am a Farrn Frenzy series fan and anxiously wait for another great choice - hurry up guys!! This game played much faster - normal speed - on my laptop but was incredibly slow on my PC. Can't tell you why - but it drove me nuts. The bicycle guy is just a "gag" diversion while loading. But the gag itself takes so long to load - it was annoying - don't do that again developers. I'm assuming you DO play these things before you put them in production. If you got rid of that BIG factor of SLOWLY LOADING and way too much preview of the wagon and the building etc after each level. Stop with the nonsense and get back to basics. The rest of the game was fabulous. I loved being able to upgrade the animals to a "battle" figure so the bears wouldn't bother them and I was able to rack up some great scores. Very fun! Keep that - and just get rid of the graphics that slow down the game between levels. I play this game a lot on my laptop and most of the other FFs as well. It is the ONLY series where I purchased every single game. Be sure to watch out for putting something on the menu that is not feasible - like needing 20 big fancy cakes that have to be purchased from the market at $4000 bucks a whack - or whatever. The good news - I will continue to BUY every FF game you produce. Don't put any HO scenes like some are starting to do - that belongs to another genre!
My favorite thing about this Farm Frenzy version is how diverse it is. There are unicorns and different horses, the "bears" are different from level to level and I love being able to strengthen my animals with the treasures the "bears" come with. There is so much variety that I never get bored with this game. This is a must have version.
This is a cool game and quite a challenge.. I love it..
It's like 5 games in one. It's the best of the Farm Frenzy games! It does load slowly (probably because of how clean the graphics are) but it's definitely worth the wait!
I just read all of the complaints about this game loading poorly. Maybe it has been fixed...or something! because I have NO problems! Wonderful game! Love the fantastic beasts and horses!
I love this game, it was super cute and entertaining.
It's the best farm-frenzy game series.
So apart from the Viking guy cycling like 20 times before you actually get to play, this game is very entertaining overall. There are tons of levels, so great value for money. If you like the Farm Frenzy series, you'll love this one too.
I was concerned about this game based on all the negative reviews. The game may have been fixed, because I had no issues with slow load times. I did have to wait through 3 load screens before I got to the first stage, but the total wait time between all three was less than 15 seconds. Load times between stages were no more than 4 seconds each, which I feel is well within reason. As others have pointed out, this is another frenzy game, which I personally can take or leave (depends on how frenzied I'm feeling on any given day! ~_^). However, I liked the Viking idea. I found it clever, even if it doesn't always make a lot of sense (boars eating hay and digging up ore is a bit of a stretch...). But it's a fun game, and easy to just go along with for the sake of entertainment. It's charming with pretty decent graphics and music. The game does presume you've played Frenzy games before, since there really isn't a tutorial. And from the beginning, the timers are a relentless challenge. You will have to do stages over again if you want golden stars - my first do-over came on level 2! In some cases, you have to achieve a certain level of mastery before you can move on, because the next stage requires a specific upgrade you must be able to afford. But that's nothing new in the Frenzy series. Frenzy experts and newcomers alike should be entertained by this one.
