FARM FOR YOUR LIFE

Call me crazy, but I like this game. If you take the time to go through the whole tutorial you will find it gives you the information you need. It is a slow paced game. For those of you who want speed this game is not for you. You must wait until it gives you the tool you need in order to progress. You can not move forward until it allows you to. I think this may be the problem some people are having with it. It could be geared more toward children, but I like it. Look out for night fall. The zombies come out! Have fun.

A good game, for its own type

This is a good game, but it isn't a fast game, nor is it really time management. It is a simple game, growing plants, bartering for upgrades, tower/zombie defense, and throwing crops at zombies. IF YOU ENJOY THIS TYPE OF GAME, its a great game. If you look for straight time management, or action-packed tower defense/zombie fighter, then you'll be disappointed with the 'fun factor'. For the graphics style they were going for, its very smooth, and clean. The sound and music was simple and applicable to the game. The challenge level is decent (if you consider managing a farm and cafe during the day, and fighting off zombies difficult). But overall, this is one of my most relaxing games to play. Not too much stress put into it :) The one downside to this, is the storyline is lacking. It seemed that they made the game engine they wanted, and threw a story into it. The story wasn't bad, it just wasn't very noteworthy. Some people have complained about controls and interface; its not really that difficult, but like every game, you need to know what you're doing :) Its a farming village game at heart. Go into it with the right expectations, and you'll enjoy it thoroughly!

Fun and addictive!

I really enjoyed this game! The story is fun and engaging, the only negative I can come up with is the challenge level is a bit low and the game ended way too soon :) Hope to see a FFYL 2! Thanks a lot for a wonderful game!

CUTE -- SLOW paced

Kind of like the old SIMS game. Collect resources, cook, farm, fight off bad guys... I had fun at a slow pace. The only thing I don't like is the tutorial (there basically isn't any).

Relaxing, slow-paced farming with a twist

Fight off zombies, grow some crops, set-up a cafeteria to feed the few humans left in the world and eventually help a scientist find the zombie cure. You can turn up the zombie attacks, or keep it low key. Hire others to help tend the fields and serve customers in your cafe. The challenge is gathering enough resources to buy the equipment, seeds, and recipes you need to feed your hungry patrons; but there is no rush, no timers, no need to stress over accomplishing goals or failing a level and having to repeat it until you succeed. You can take your time and accomplish your goals at your own pace. Whenever I want a no stress game to while away some free time, I replay FFYL in endless mode. It was well worth the game credit! So, when's the sequel? I want to use that potion I helped the scientist with. ;)

Awesome Game

I just bought this game and it is AWESOME. The graphics are cute, and farming is so fun. I would highly recommend this game for anyone who just wants a relaxing, slow paced game. Thanks

excellent farming game

its a good story with differnt chooses

cute, fun game for chidren

This game has a lot to offer. You get to chose your person, mail or female. You can change there looks are dress. Lots of interaction with this game. No voice over so there is lots of reading to do. Giver you directions on how to play and what to do next. You have to grow a garden and water it then start building your farm. Graphics are good not great. Remember it is for children. Cute fun game for them. Lots of thing going on in the game also because it is a time management game also.

One of those hidden gems if you take the time to polish it

Firstly, I fully agree with all the negative comments about this game, hence why I gave it 4 instead of 5. They could have spent less time with useless info in the tutorial and added a few desperately needed pieces of info like for example, use A, D, S, W to scroll the screen around. Secondly, this is an amazing game, so many sides to it, it's adorable, creative and well put together. I love that you have the farming thing, the upgrade thing, the restaurant thing, the explorer thing, the zombie thing, EVERYTHING! Not sure why others are hating the music, I thought it was fresh and very well done. Then again, they didn't like the game either so I guess it's all about taste.

A sweet game!

I've really enjoyed playing the demo. The style reminds me a little of Wandering Willows - the main character gathers fruit, veg and materials, interacts with other characters, creates food dishes and buys new buildings and fittings. At night, it's time to take on the zombies! It's not quickly-paced; it is mostly relaxed (except when creating dishes). I thought the tutorial ended a little abruptly, but it wasn't difficult to get into the game.
