More Garden Fun

If you enjoyed the first Gardenscapes game, this one is much of the same. There are straight hidden object scenes and you redecorate a garden with the money you earn selling the items that you find. I really like how they've given Austin a backstory so that we can learn more about him. - Choose from timed or untimed mode. You have to go under options and check the box, though. - Sparkle hints are also under options if you really need help. - Graphics are bright and cheerful. - H0 scenes are "junkpile" style, but really everything is pretty clearly visible and it goes with the theme of the game, I suppose. - There are some scenes before the H0 scenes that are like "fix the window, remove the cobwebs," but they don't require too much interaction. Just clicking, really. - Music is very unobtrusive. The other sounds are the same from the first game. - Achievements! (And lots of them.) If you want a break from the more adventure-type games, this one is a good one.

Yay For Gardenscapes 2!!

I loved the first Gardenscapes, so when I saw that there was a new one, I couldn't hit "buy' fast enough! I love being able to catch up with Austin and see what he's up to. This storyline is cute, as you are going back to Austin's childhood home and visiting his parents. Upon arrival, you and Austin see that the backyard (garden) is in disrepair. This gives Austin the idea to give the garden a makeover to make it look pretty once again. The graphics are great (just like the first one), and like I said the storyline is cute. The challenge level is just like the first one (in my opinion pretty great)! I didn't even try the game for the free hour, because I knew that I would love it and so far I don't regret buying it. I'm not even 1/3 of the way finished either!

Stop and Smell the Roses!

Spring has arrived and what a wonderful way to spend it by gardening with our old friend Austin. Our story continues as Austin, feeling rather homesick, decides to visit his parents only to discover that the garden of his childhood has been neglected. With your help, he decides to hold yet another jumble sale to raise money and bring back the garden's former beauty. And so the fun begins with this delightful and amusing Hidden Object game. With stunning graphics and amusing interactions with Austin and his parents, you venture off to play a series of Hidden object scenes to raise money and start your landscaping your garden. Easy play, lots of HO scenes, some tasks that need to be done, and extra coins to find, a real treat for those who love non-complicated hidden object games. I especially love decorating and as an extra treat, you get to earn achievements along the way. A great time for the family or a guilty pleasure to enjoy on your own. Gardenscapes and Barnyarn games are really a joy to play.

HAD TO HAVE - LOTS OF FUN

I bought this game as soon as it came out, without even trying the demo. No regrets. Love the Gardenscapes series. What fun they are! Quirky fun characters and easy-to-find objects. Prices paid decrease if it takes too long to find what the customer wants Good length. Fun to decorate and redecorate. Great visuals.

Welcome back, Aiden!

Gardenscapes 2 is very similar to Gardenscapes, except this time you are fixing up Aiden's parents' estate. Your dog is also back -- once you buy the doghouse, you can name him and Aiden will play with him. This game also has Relaxed Mode, and Sparkle Hints which you can turn on via the options menu, although it takes a while before anything "sparkles". You find extra hints when you find the question marks. You also are helped by a magnifying glass, a camera and thermometer, all of which help you quickly find items you are looking for. One difference is, you sometimes have to fix up a room before you can have a sale in it -- hang up a shelf, replace a leg on a cabinet, fix a railing. Another new item is a picture album that stores pictures of Aiden's early life -- quite a nice touch. I love these games, so I bought it right away! A nice, mindless change from all the adventure games.

Hurrah! Austin is back!

Bought sight unseen. First time I've not waited to try the 1 hour trial first. I knew from the 2 previous gardenscapes we are all in for lots of fun. I just stopped my review to play a bit of the game. As expected it's loads of fun. This time going to old Austins family home and fixing it up for his parents along with his faithful dog " insert name here". I'm going back to play some more. Go buy it!

I love this game!

I have the other two games and really liked them. Sometimes you just need to get away from the dark and gloomy and have a little fun. This game is it. Graphics and game play are excellent. HOGs are fun. I enjoy "decorating" the place up. Music is the same as in the other two, but who cares. Adding Mom and Dad is a nice change. Coins are a bit hard to see in some areas and the questionmark is almost impossible to see in a lot of scenes...too dark. I just spend a little extra time finding it. This is the first game, out of hundreds, that I bought without even trying out the demo. This is just way too much fun. Next time, I think he needs a "love" interest, then a "wedding." This series could almost be endless. Yes, you are doing the same thing in every game, but it is a very nice change of pace. As always, try it for yourself and see what you think. We all have different tastes in games and you may not care of this one at all. Thanks for the reviews.

Gardenscapes2

I have played the 2 previous games and bought this without hesitation becauese I loved them so much. It's not the most challenging game as far as HO games go but it is fun and a nice way to pass the time.

Gardenscapes 2

5 thumbs up Love this game! I like how Austin looks up at you as if he is really speaking to you with your name inserted in the game. Please make more Gardenscapes. A must have to relax and release stress away!
