I love this game. This is a HOS, sprinkled with mini-games that are a challenge yet possible to solve. The uniqueness of this game that impressed me is the "learn as you go" technique, and playing through a ghost's perspective. The story line held my interest; the music wasn't distracting, and over all I think this is a very enjoyable game.
I loved this comic series. So good to see ELisa back on the scene. The game told a great story of her begining. Took me about 4 hours to play and had some fun minigames. Voices were great!
I have 459 big fish games. Ghost Elisa Cameron was the best ever. No technical problems. GREAT GAME.
WoW I thought this game was terrific because it was not overly complicated and not full of so much tracking back & forth and not loaded with ridiculous plot development and not leaving you baffled where to go next. But even though it was a "manageable" mystery, that is not to say that it was overly easy yet I was very excited that I only needed outside help with making tea. [I went to the BF forum but found no comments were helpful to me; then I figured out how to make the tea and left detailed info about the process on that forum]. In this game, the graphic art was lovely and you seldom return to a scene again [after leaving each specific area]. If you are unsure where to look for clues next, the hint button assists with story evolvement. There are Hidden Objects--not usually hard to find--and mini-games [many of which I played but if any seemed too difficult, a skip button was available]. I liked the voices and sounds and the game was imo not too long and not so hard that I needed a strategy guide as I enjoy the fun of solving by myself. Tbh, in the past I have found many BF mysteries to be exhaustingly long & drawn out and so difficult to solve that I think many members here might have MENSA I.Q.s But not so with this game, it was a pleasure to play and I would buy a whole series of Elisa Cameron games if Big Fish gets any more. FIVE STARZ! *****
I loved playing through this game! It looks great great, fun to play!!! Please make a sequel!!!!
I'm a bit new to these type of games, and this one reminds me on older adventures. It is a bit more difficult to figure out what goes where, but I definitely had fun. I like the way how hint works, it's not so much in the way like in some other games I tried, but helps. Keep them coming BigFish.
Game is not CE but is a fun HO game that delivers you the character you know in Elisa. Its free give it a try!
Review based on completed game in casual mode. Animation - A little disappointing. Would have preferred more. VOS - Excellent. Was great having a vo for the player. Thank you devs!!! I know some reviewers found it irritating when Elisa commented on everything. :-D HOS - Varied sized objects as is the norm in most games. A combo of clear to dark scenes. Repeated. Could have done without the "Uhhhh" every time an object is found. Annoying. Random Click Penalty - None. Thank goodness or I wouldn't have been able to find some objects in the darker scenes but don't despair - I'll be getting new glasses this week. :-D Hint - Fast recharge, gives clues and directions. You have the option to replay chapters. Journal - Contains the usual info. Collect puzzle pieces along the way but you'll have no idea why until the end. Map - None that I could see. Didn't do a very good job of taking notes as I played this game. Makes this review sound vague. Puzzles/Mini-Games - Not as many as the HOS but unusual. Fast skip. If you're an HO lover, you will enjoy this one and it is quite an adventure. My cat, Quinton, leaped on my desk while I was engrossed in a spooky scene. I jumped out of my skin. LOL So throw in your net and haul this one in. Happy gaming!!!
Graphics and sound quality are both consistent and balaced to deliver a flowing narrative which guides you through a intriguing storyline. The storyline is separated into chapters and is quite ambitious, guarenteeing hours of gameplay. The game hardy ever leaves you to aimlessly wonder not knowing what to do next which keeps the frustration levels to a minimum while the amount of locations and interactions provide a truly entertaining experience. The game contains alot of HO scenes which is certainly a + by my standards. In future, I hope to see more games like this - games that kept their true casual gaming heretage.
A simple and entertaining HO game, and a fun way to kill a few afternoons. It's a bit on the easy side, but a definite recommendation for beginners. Liked the graphics, and the story setting was interesting as well.
