I thoroughly enjoyed this game because it's so very different. Some levels require sliding bars, others require flipping bars. This allows for lining up multiple objects for matching. Meanwhile, in the background, a full-fledged story is unfolding that gives a sense of an RPG. Sometimes, your character has to advance through a forest cutting down trees based on the number of axes you match. Sometimes, it's a cave that requires pick axes, sometimes your character is facing a terrifying beast and the only way to overcome it is to match bows and arrows for your character to shoot. You advance through a territory map, stopping sometimes to purchase items for your journey. Very clever, different, and fun!
Different take on Match 3 makes it interesting but the quality of the graphics is extremely poorly developed; very amateurish in appearance and needs a lot of work to come up to the standard of today's games. Also you can't save your progress or character so if you leave, you have to start over from Square One.
I liked this game. I enjoy Match3s but good ones are few. This one is a little different. I only played demo but may buy. Was easy at first but difficulty increases. Didn't pay much attention to story. Visuals & sound effects on the simple side but I liked them. Wish there was a little more instruction but it's not complicated & you can figure it out.
The cursor movement is what holds this game back. Yes, it's a slider M3, but it cachunks, cachunks along to make any given move. Otherwise? Storyline good, graphics fine etc. I can see real possibilities in the grid movement and strategy but until the movement lag is fixed this is a one-star.
I occasionally buy Match 3 games for lighthearted fun and always enjoy them but I only played this game for 5 minutes and gave up. This is not one of the usual Match 3's where you swap tiles; you 'slide' the bars along and sometimes instead of 'sliding' you only have the option of 'flipping' the complete row. It may suit some people but it's definitely not one for me.
