I had just done my first review of a previous game that I was terribly disappointed in and I downloaded this game, wow, what a difference! I play every hidden object game put out, most are quite good, a few need lots of work, then every once in a while a game comes along that you know in the first few moments that it is great, that my friends is this game. Some hidden objects the objects are very easy to spot, these games I pass on because I like a bit of challenge. A few out there make the mistake of making all objects so small that you need binoculars to find them. Then there are the majority that give you good, clear objects but cleverly placed so you have to do a bit of thinking. This game has put the items just so that you really have to put your thinking cap on folks, so rare to have such cleverly disguised objects, yet the scene is clear and in a size that even near-sighted folks can see. That is what I call a fantastic Hidden Object game. The story line is catchy too. Without giving away anything, the girl has inherited this old mansion that she only has few memories of. So you do the game thing and find your way around discovering things. I liked that there was a story being told, yet there wasn't so much talking, whether to herself or someone else, that you were constantly reading and not enjoying the game. I had only played 10 minutes of the last game because I hated it, this game I bought before 10 minutes were up, I was hooked at the first Hidden Object scene. I highly recommend Guardians, definitely a good hunt! The game runs smoothly, all scenes are clear, good artwork, easy navigation, greate game overall, a must buy!
I thought this game had a great story line! However, this is not a game for sleepyheads! The plot twists come as a surprise but make sense and fit the story. You will have to pay attention and run the curser over the entire scene looking for clues. Some of the hidden objects are obscure, but are for the most part fair, and the music and artwork are a delight. Fortunately the game has natural chapter breaks if you need to catch a nap. If you miss something the hint button offers you a way back into the story so you are not left wandering around aimlessly. The puzzles are challenging and quite clever but not impossible for intermediate players and beginners can skip a few but hang in there! When you reach the end of the game you will reap the rewards of your labors. It's so nice to see a game that doesn't end abruptly after the last puzzle is solved. Enjoy!
I first want to say that Vogat is for me the best games creator actually. I loved all their games. This one at first I thought was not as fun to go around the scenes, but they surprised me again because when you think it is finish it continues with new elements. Thanks for those creative ideas.
This is the type of game I enjoy where the objects are part of the game you find. Would buy this one for sure.
I really enjoyed this game. I thought the storyline was unique. Graphics were good. I loved the characters. This game gives you that feeling that the whole towns future depends on you. Puzzles were good, not too hard, not too easy. The game was long, however you never get bored because you are involved in the story. Yes this was an enjoyable game, I would only have one question for the creators of the game: What's up with the three armed guy? I wonder if anyone else can find him?? hmmmmmm...
This game from Vogat was a big surprise: I usually loathe hidden object games because they've become so static-- but this game utilized them very well: excellent graphics (reminiscent of the fantastic MCF series--especially the Ravenhearst games from BFG) and the pacing of the game was excellent with lots of puzzles and a solid story line.
I played the Demo, then bought the game to finish. This games is easy, and relaxing. I hate to rush through my games. I enjoy looking at the scenes, and the studying puzzles, This game has wide screen, a plus for me. The music is not overpowering. The storyline is pretty straight foreward and easy to follow. If a hint is needed, they are precise and easy to follow. Big Fish Games Rule. My favorite is still Ravenhurst, and Return to Ravenhurst. Keep up the great work, and I will keep playing. :~)
You have to save Witchville from a curse that turns everyone into ghosts. No VOS. Lots of HOS, mostly clear, challenging to find all the objects. Good music. Great hint system: tell you what to do if you are stuck. Good puzzles, fast skip button. Some seek and find. Interesting story and characters. Good length, too, over 5 hours on casual and I didnt do all the puzzles.
I look forward to each HO Adventure game offered......these are my favorite!! Some have too much annoying dialogue but this one was okay......Just enough levels/chapters to keep you entertained and not bored.......Items were easy to find and instructions for game play clearly explained.
Another fine game by Vogat. Graphics are terrific, music goes with the setting, not too annoying. This game really brings you into the story. Mini games were good, you do have the skip option. A nice way to spend an afternoon.
