Immersive and very interesting story: Jane Lucky is saving a group of archeologists from a group of bandits leads by masked one. Very well done graphics, excellent voice over, great sound, intriguing characters, impressive dialogs. Right amount of a lot of HOSes, not too challenge, but nice. Some mini games are new and good challenging, others are well known and easy.
Like professional boxers have different weight divisions, my reviews are based on certain catergories. Jane Lucky is a brightly colored bold game that touches on the subject of terorists very well and earned a couple stars. A lot of detailed artistry added a third star. That this game centers around students earns the fourth star as this targets gamers who would certainly be students and/or the younger generation--much younger than I am anyway. I consider this a great game for them. Fifth star for being able to find hidden objects without a magnifying glass or with little hint help. Bravo! Very good game, indeed! Enjoy! -Mama Mia-
This is strictly a HO game with a story about archeology. It's pretty easy, but some of the objects are hard to distinguish. Half of the dialogue is spoken and about half you have to read. The puzzles are easy also. Between each HO scene it tells you Jane Lucky loading, which I did not care for. I recommend this only if all you want to do is find HO's.
A really good game, bright grafic, good animation
I finished the hour play and liked it almost immediately. plenty of HOGs and not too hard to find. The puzzles are rather easy, have to be as I solved them with no problem. Graphics are excellent and colorful and enjoy the story. I already bought the game.
This game had more dialog than I like but it was like reading an interactive book. Two different HO games and fairly easy puzzles.
I have nice vision. Why do they want us to strain our eyes. I could have enjoyed a lot more. Think twice about this game. I tell you true.
The story had potential, but the dialog, actions and tasks are ridiculous and the text is very poorly translated to English. It isn't dark and horrifying, but I wouldn't go so far as to say it was fun. There is almost nothing to interact with except the hidden object scenes, which act more like FROGs in that you have a circle of smaller items to retrieve in order to get the larger item (gather tools for the toolbox, then take the toolbox, etc.). Night time flashlights effects are quite good. The absolute worst part is the VERY long load times every time you change scenes. I'm not talking whole different locations--but just to move around within one area requires repeated and lengthy pauses, staring at a "Loading" screen. I found the game to be frustrating for that reason, and kept muttering to myself about how stupid all the characters and tasks were. Mind you, I like most of the games I've purchased here, and am honestly not that fussy, but had I known about the shortcomings of this game, I never would have bought it. There aren't many I would warn people away from, but this one warrants it. How about more games without ghosts, demons and murderers? Maybe an alien abduction/invasion? Talking animals? Bigfoot, even? And can somebody tell me why there's always a skull in HO scenes in EVERY game? Sorry, I guess I'm done ranting now.
i was realy suprised at this game it keeps you involved and just as you think its over it isn't many games finish much to quickly and this one does not lots of fun
Really liked the demo, so bought the game half-way through ? entire game took a little over 5 hours on casual. COULDN'T WAIT FOR IT TO END. 2 stars is rather generous for entire game (I would have given 4 stars based on demo only) HOS: easy-to-find object lists and fill-in-the-circles. Puzzles were easy and repetitious (ok if intended for novices). Game probably intended to be an adventure HOG, but failed miserably. STORYLINE & GAMEPLAY: Plot and dialogue were so simplistic that it seemed like 7-9th graders wrote it as part of a joint drama project. They, of course, have limited life experiences or exposure to real-life stories of problems people solve or the types of TV programs they watch. So problems encountered had the most unviable and unbelievable solutions. At times, it made little sense. Music was nice. Voice overs were nice to begin with, but later they stopped. (Could be the game or my computer, but it became tedious just reading all the dialogue.) Map highlighted active areas and took you directly there. As a whole, game was not very well developed. Newbies: Play the entire demo to see if it?s worth $2.99; Intermediates and Experts: find another game.
