I'm not sure about the storyline but that dosen't matter, very bright grafic/locationsand fun
BASED ON COMPLETED GAME This game is a literal sequel to the first Letters From Nowhere, in that the first game left us with a cliff hanger, which is continued here. We are given only a skeleton of a backstory, but the story is of no real importance to the game, so you don?t miss much If you haven?t played the other. This is a pure HOG, not a HOPA and has only HOPs and other simple ones. The gameplay is different from other games, but the same as the first game. *Each episode consists of a number of HO scenes, and you get a list of 12 items to find in each. *There is also one puzzle per episode, which can turn up anywhere in one of the HO scenes. *Each location also has 3 stamps to find and a black cat. These unlock unlimited HOs and puzzles from the game. *There are also points and achievements to get. *There are a total of 32 scenes, each visited 3 times, but they don?t get boring. There are also bonus items we can ?buy? (with points) to help. After buying them, they will be added to the HO scene, but we will still have to find them to use them. *Thermometer - indicates ?hot spots? in the scene for a short time. *Surprise ? a mystery bonus, e.g. 10 000 bonus points. *Camera ? a brief flash of the scene with all the remaining items highlighted. *Palette ? the list is transformed into a series of pictures of the remaining items. The graphics quality is very good, and the animations are nicely done. This game is a bit darker than the first, with a lot more creepiness and black magic. I like the music and the voiceovers of the characters is good. This is a very good HOG. If you don?t go into it expecting a HOPA, it is a very good game indeed.
Some games which unlock an "unlimited" seek and find after you have found a certain number of a special objects, or completed the story, turn out to unlock only certain scenes with limited objects. Having found sufficient stamps to unlock this game's unlimited mode I discovered 28 locations with 50 objects in each, and with picture clues rather than a list - great! This game will join my other favourite HOs, the Amazing Adventures, Escape, and Mystery PI series.
great game, excellent graphics, challenging puzzles
If you like HO games, Letters from Nowhere 2 is for you! It's not even necessary to have played Letters from Nowhere to play this sequel. The HO scenes are hand drawn and well rendered with most of the objects easy to moderate to find. There are 4 items you can buy at the beginning of each chapter to assist you in finding the objects, as well as give you more points. You get points for each object you find, too; the points add up to achievements and unlock hidden object mode for later play. There is no figuring out where to go or what to do next--just HO scenes and mini games/puzzles. The HO scenes are plentiful and while some scenes are repeated, the items are different or changed around. The game play is simple, straight forward and all about finding the HOs--which suited me just fine! If you like HOs, then try either this game or the first Letters from Nowhere--both are well done, nice artwork, a little story line/plot thrown in just to keep things interesting. Hours of HO finding pleasure!
I enjoyed playing this as do my two great grandsons. It's nice to have a game for them to play when they come to visit. Even my daughter and granddaughter enjoy it. It's just pleasant to do it together. That is why I am giving it 4 stars.
I enjoyed playing this game! It's very similar to Part 1, with many hidden objects, and trying to find the 3 stamps and black cat in each scene as well. The story is a continuation of Part One, and you find out what happened to her husband, Patrick. After you finish the game, if you've found enough stamps while playing, you have access to the Unlimited Mode. The only difficulty in this game is that some of the scenes are such a jumble of items that it's very difficult to see tiny items. Otherwise, it's a winner!
If all you want is hidden object it's fine but no real challenge to it at all.
