I really enjoyed this game. I also do not understand how different you can expect a game of mahjong to be? I thought the music was kind of fun. I can mute it if I get tired of it....so not an issue for me. I bought the prior Aztec version by the same developer and have enjoyed hours of fun with that game. I plan to buy this game also
I don't know what others are looking for in a Mahjong game that could be "different" other then more bonus tiles. Mahjong is a good game. The only thing that bothered me was the music, I forgot to go to settings before starting the game to mute the music and that was a wrong move, mute the music otherwise it will annoy you. The "different" tiles, took a little getting use to, until I was able to "choose" the tiles I was more comfortable with, but otherwise this is a good Mahjong game. Graphics are crisp. Mahjong is Mahjong what are you looking for that would be "different?" Just like Solitair how "different" can you make that?
We don't get many new mahjong games but, this one is great!
With two modes, 300 levels and variations, Ancient Athena will keep you busy for quite a while. Adventure mode didn't really have that much of a story during the demo, but the graphics are nice and the symbols on the tiles clearly visible. There are lovely backgrounds to choose from and different tile sets become available during the game. Adventure mode is timed, but there are a variety of bonus tiles to help you on each level. I had a quick glimpse at Classic Mode. There are three levels of difficulty and you can also create your own layouts. You can change the background and tile sets and select whatever variation you want to play. Some of the variations are timed, e.g. find a special tile in 10 seconds, find a pair within 20 seconds when the board changes. There's the familiar Freecell variation, another where you select tiles that add up to 10, one that's like a memory game and others that I didn't get to investigate. I will be adding this to my collection of Mahjong games.
this game is not very challenging.music ... not soothing. not much of a story line. i like mahjong games but this one is the worst by far. unless your into boredom i would not recommend this one.
Why is this so diffeculd for the fish, to get some nice mohjongg? this is the worst mahjongg, maybe ecept from - largeste mahjongg place. You can do it better
