This game was alright. It wasn't bad but wasn't excellent either. There was no voice acting but the music was pleasant and I thought the cut scenes were good. Another thing I liked about this game was the hidden object areas were scrolling scenes. It sure made it difficult to locate items, but I guess that is the point of the challenge.
While investigating a murder which was at first thought to be a suicide, Gabrielle delves deeper into experiments which allow her to enter other peoples minds only to discover a shocking secret about her own past. No voice overs only written dialogue which begins the uninspiring trend that this game will reach. The graphics are quite dark in many places and are not very clear or colourful. The sliding, three dimension effect does not appeal to me at all. The puzzles are reasonable simple and hardly offer a challenge. The hidden object are extremely hard to locate in amongst the drab gloom of the scenes. All in all a very drab, gloomy, uninspiring and uninteresting game.
During the trial, we learn that a show is drawing everyone in. The mayor is supposed to attend with his wife, however, he doesn't want to go because the players creep him out. Why is everyone attracted to the show? Could it be doing something to them? Why does the mayor find it creepy. I had to know, so, I bought the game. What a mistake. The story was more like an outline. It jumped from one short chapter to the next. I felt like chunks of the story were being skipped. The mystery wasn't really developed. No suspence was built. I estimate the game lasted 2.5 hours, maybe 3 hours. I've been a member of Big Fish for 4.5 years. I have 285 games. This is my first review. I was so disappointed that I felt others needed to be warned.
