Loved this game; it was visually gorgeous (though graphics in H0G and FRAG a bit tiny unless set to 800x600 dpi) on my widescreen. The storyline was princess/fairytale theme... perfect for the romantic at heart and a wonderful change from the dark/dismal settings even for those not. Definitely worth the purchase even at full price!!
You have to know what you want in a game. If you want a gripping story that makes finding hidden objects and minigames an unwelcome distraction, then this is not for you. This has enough story to keep things going, no more. On the other hand if you just want to play fun games in beautiful settings, then this is the game for you. The games are fun, not too hard. Very beautiful to look at. Very restful. Your kids will probably love it. Has a feel of the first Mirror Chronicles. If fo
Great game with great mini games. Love the diamonds to search for.
THIS IS VISUALLY STUNNING!!! ITS A THINKER.
Lovely game, true lady'like in all it's aspect.
Simply excellent in more ways than put it that way. Play to find out why...
This is a pretty game, and very nice for younger gamers, so moms, go ahead and get it for your daughters, especially if they like being the one who saves the guy, instead of the other way around. Ha! This isn't a horrible game, so I don't want to sound too negative. It's short and simple, and not worth the money to a more experienced gamer. If you've been around a while, you'll feel as if you got into a sixth grade classroom, when you belong in tenth grade at least. But you'll probably be polite and finish the game. The story has a beautiful girl ready to wed a gorgeous, titled guy, who is rich and reads her poetry. But on their wedding day he vanishes with only intense words of regret for his foolishness. Of course, the fair maid is no way as silly as the guy, so she doesn't leave it at that. She sets about gathering what she needs to save him - hence the hidden object scenes. You'll need items from different scenes to solve riddles, but there isn't too much walking about. The scenes are close to one another, and the girl nags you when you are finished in an area for the nonce. (Good word, nonce.) So buy it, if you fit the profile of the gamer who will love it, and leave it if you prefer the more mature hidden object/adventure game. Actually, I suppose the only difference between the two types is the length and the content, and the roses in place of skulls and blood.
PLUS = What this game lacks in sophistication it makes up in beautiful graphics. If you like exploring beautiful English manor rooms and gardens, and elegant lady's rooms, you will love the eye candy of this game. MINUS = The game was not intensely challenging, and the storyline was a bit predictable, but for me this was overcome by the visual beauty of this game. At this moment I am tired of exploring dirty asylums and grungy settings!
It's a cute little fantasy game, but not very high quality. Just decent. Not as good as the Awakening games. You get more bang for your buck if you really like to search out all the extras, like finding all the diamonds in each area. Graphics aren't the best, which can make searching a bit more difficult than it need be, especially since it's the type of HOG where you find fragments of the pictured items rather than having jumbled search scenes that you pick out objects from.
Very cute game. The story and the music remind fairy tales. Is perfect for children playing with parents. The game is made with scenes only, there is no motion. There are many things to do: collect diamonds, find pieces of objects to be used, HOS...is not challenging, is amusing.
