Review for game: Orchard
Ivy was just about fed up with the daily grind when she got a curious letter from her great uncle. He was retiring and wanted to leave her his orchard. Even though Ivy had never worked the fields, she loved that Orchard, and jumped on the opportunity. It`s time to head out to the country and get your hands dirty, making juices, pies, jellies, and more! Plant and harvest crops, construct special buildings to expand your abilities, create recipes, advertise and sell products at the Orchard!
Test your hand and eye skills with quick action and challenging levels.

Managing the Orchard starts slowly as you begin by yourself, and as one reviewer said, it feels like things are moving VERY slowly. This picks up quickly though as you begin to get employees, who move through most tasks on an automatic cycle so you aren't really having to "manage" their every move most of the time. Tasks are broken up into 'farming', 'woodcutting', and 'building' and you can hire employees that specialize in any one of the areas, and they get better over time, along with your own abilities getting better over time. The harvested crops are either turned into other goods which are sold in the store, or the crops are just sold directly in the store too. Customers come by and buy things, and leave either happy, neutral, or unhappy. I've only played a short time (less than the full trial) and so far the goals are pretty linear, but it is up to you to decide where to build everything, and it makes it easy to learn the game as you go. I'm buying on the GameAgents sale this weekend! One of their few non-HO games. Try the trial, and enjoy!
I played this game a while ago, ....a friend had it and I loved it, I disagree that it is long eventually when you get to higher levels the time issue is just fine:) I finished the game and am actually debating on buying it just to finish the game once more:)
Wish you would make a Orchard 2 with more levels . I love this game for passing time.
One of the most disapointing time management games. Progress was very slow, I wished there was a button to speed things up. Probably quite realistic to real orchard and waiting for things to grow. The characters moved very slowly planting, collecting, etc, if just felt like you were getting nowhere fast. Not enough of a challenge for the "time management" part of the game.
I'm not sure how old this game is, but it seems like the gameplay, graphics and continuous loop of music date it as an older game. After reading the other good review here, I decided to give it a go. It runs so slow that even my character fell asleep (thought bubble of zzzzzz) multiple times as I went through the motions of playing. I'm not sure if it's my computer, but the play screen was so tiny I had to squint. When it took it off "full screen" it actually got a little bigger in the window - but not much. I might not have minded that if the game was worth playing, but I found it tedious (and I like slow growing games like Plant Tycoon, so that's saying something!)
I like TM games, but this one wasn't for me. I didn't even last through the free trial. Too slow, and you spend a lot of time waiting for tasks to be finished.
The graphics and speed of this game are older, it has a very blocky look, and doesn't run as smoothly as some of the newer games. The storyline was good, but it just ran too slowly and was not that fun for me because of how hard it was to maneuver the characters.
