Bad graphics

While the storyline was a good concept, the graphics let it down terribly. You couldn't get it to move along faster when they were talking by clicking. Played the hour trial and only managed to get to second sceen as the hidden ojects weren't so much hidden as impossible to see as everything just merged into each other. Even in the second scene where it was brighter it wasn't any better. Actually glad when it finished as i got past caring and kept using the hint button.

disapointing and repetitive

disappointing. Ends with "to be continued" just near the end of the 'story line'. What is a game that doesn't have the ending? I'm not buying a second game to get the end of the story. The puzzles were the same 3 over and over, even the same general pictures. Very unfortunate. I found The puzzles repetitive, and the find-an-object games were not clear enough. Thankfully the hint meter re-upped fast but I prefer a game I can see and don't need hints for.

Disappointing to say the least

There was so much repetitive talking and actions that it became boring real quick. Also, the hidden items were so small you had to squint to see them and some of them did not resemble what they were supposed to be. Not my cup of tea.

Dreadful

I thought I'd give the demo a try to see what Reading the Dead was all about. The hidden objects where so small I couldn't see most of them. Then theres the reading of the characters, the dialog was petty and it just wasn't a fun game.

Too Bad To Be Continued?

I liked the forensics aspect of the game. The graphics were pretty bad and items are so small and shapless that you have to use the hint button or just "click around"...lucky there is no click penalty. The story line was good but what was promised was not delivered. Without spoiling anything the biggest reason is because it's "to be continued..." Really? So you DON'T get to find answers to.....hmmm. There is very little sympathy for this woman who found her mother dead when she was fifteen, which was very irritating so you don't care much about most of the characters. Maybe it is good that there are no voice-overs. It would be a little better if you weren't led around by the nose so much. There are unlimited hints even though the hint button only shows "3". If you wait a few seconds, after using a hint, the button will go back up to 3 again. The game has some glitches where you click and click and nothing happens. Sometimes, you use the hint button and that works in making what you are clicking on work. Sometimes, you have to go out of the game and go back in. Still, with all that, I liked it enough so that I would have recommended the game anyway, however, I can't do that at this time. It has been quite a while since this game came out and there is still no game or even update that would continue the story. Without that, you pretty much just have frustration. I would buy the sequel if it ever comes out, but it doesn't look like that will happen. One can hope.
