Graphics ok. Had sound etc muted so can't comment on that. The scenes are repetitive as are the HOs. I've never uninstalled a HOG before the hour trial was up before but did with this one. So,sorry to say it's dismal and disappointing!!
A pretty standard HOG, following the "Ravenhearst model". (In each chapter, a few locations are "open", and you need to find most of the objects in each location, in a given period of time, to move on.) The movie tie-in is, in my opinion, fairly artificial. However, the storyline itself is still pretty engaging.
I honestly don't like writing a bad review on a game. I know the developers spent a lot of time on these for our enjoyment. What this game reminds me of is Ravenhurst. Now, that is a game I honestly enjoyed. Righteous Kill was a little mundane for my likes. I enjoy a game that presents challenges. The only challenge for me in the game was time management. Other than that, the puzzles were simple, the hidden objects were easy to locate. I would think this game is better suited for a beginner. Great opportunity to learn about what hidden objects are about. I'm torn on how to recommend this game. I will, but as I stated, I would think a beginner vs an expierenced player would find this game a challenge.
This game is great for someone who is new at hidden objects with a timed management game. The graphics are fantastic as well as the voice overs. Playing a detective is fun and you jump right into it. Check out the demo.
I should have read the reviews. I should have played the trial. Anything, ANYTHING but waste a credit on this stinker. I don't mind the time limits on the HOs. After you've visited the EXACT SAME SCENE five or six times, you learn where everything is. There are no surprises. After all, there are maybe four different types of challenges: HO, assemble the torn photo/letter/police report, corral the bad guy's wi-fi signal, look for "fingerprints". There's no real puzzle-solving, and no way to tell how far you are through the game, which makes it all the more interminable. This game is TERRIBLE. If the movie inspired the game, it's no wonder I've never heard of it.
the first one, with purely straight HO scene after HO scene. Unlike Ravenhearst, this one required EVERY object to be located before continuing, instead of all but one or two. One other difference was the lack of a fast click penalty. The mini-games were dismal, I've had more fun playing tic tac toe. Was glad to see I'd only paid 99 cents for this one instead of full price.
it took to long with the same mundane story line
Really, really disappointed with this game. I was exxpecting so much more. Good Parts: The only good thing. The graphics. These were really good and very modern. OK Parts: Storyline should've been better, and it would've been had here been some real characters. Objects were ok. Some easy to find some hard. Bad Parts: The gameplay is just awful. I was expecting it to be one of those games like Criminal Minds where you wander around and interrigate suspects, but no. It was just find the hidden objects. Simillar to Huntsville, set locations on a map with a junkpile like scene. There's a TIME LIMIT! This is the number one fun killer of any game. I mean, if you're going to make a game with a time limit, at least make the hidden objects a little easier to find! Would have liked some puzzles. I didn't bother taking a chance with this game once I saw the gameplay. There are so many games that are similar to this but much better, like the Mystery P.I games or Eastville Cronicles: The Drama Queen Murder
