First I do not own a lot of so-called 'spooky' games...but...was chatting in the CCC during the 'sale' and saw a recommendation for this game. Listed as spooky?... So off to try. And yes I am a H0G addict, but have been on a hunt and search for a more fast moving challenge. Now I am 'hooked' on this game. It is by far fun, graphic is done so well its like being there in the scenes, music is totally 'tune in and enjoy', had the storyline with even an 'evil' witch!....and...Yes there is strategy, challenge, H0, puzzles and STD's. I will give this a... 5 star + ...game! For a beginner it would be awesome and expert may not find that challenge...maybe? I am 'in between' and this game made me feel like I was the expert!...Anyway must thank the 'dev' group on creating an enjoyed game and also BFG for offering such a great M3. Replayable....well a big....YES!
Enjoyed it so much. What a lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon, relaxing! I bought the two previous ones and couldn't wait for another one. This is just as good as the prequels. It's just challenging enough to entertain but not tax. It's pleasant to play a sweet game instead of so many of the dark and gruesome ones that are sometimes offered.
I love the game!!! Great story beautifull graphics everything!!! Try it and then buy it!! Very fun game!!!
great graphics, great game play, awesome game.
I liked all of the season match games. When there was a long time between match three games I play them again. Try all three. Hope they have another one in the works.
Story is good. Easy and funny to play for my grand children without horrible pictures.
I've always found collapse block games, rather than swap or chain match, pretty boring, but had to buy this one. The artwork and animation are just lovely, in the minigames as well as the main levels, and the bonus power ups are fun and original. The fairytale storyline is also a plus if you feel like a bit of escapism. Not a challenging game, but with winter coming on, and a persistent virus depressing me, it's a real tonic! Having now tried Season Match 1 and 2 I still prefer Curse of The Witch Crow.
Okay, so I am now officially hooked on this one. I downloaded the free trial today and.....WOW!!! After leaving this review I am off to purchase it along with Season Match 2. The graphics, sounds and music are top notch. Unlike any other M3 game I have tried. I have played the timed and found it to be just the right amount of challenging. Not frustrating but not easy either. Well, I am off to play this one some more. Thanks BFG!!! :-)
I frankly expected this to be another generic match 3 game like Bejeweled, so I was pleasantly surprised that after a bit of a slow start, it seems that a lot of work went into this game. There are numerous nicely designed characters and backdrops, various low-key puzzles thrown in to alternate with the match-3 boards, and many different types of power-ups to keep the match-3 possibilities interesting. The story actually seems overly elaborate to me, but it's hard to complain that you get more than you expected out of a game. It's not particularly challenging, though it's more difficult once you try to beat the timed Arcade mode levels. You get tons of levels, with a Story mode plus a lot of Arcade levels too, and it's very playable-- every time you click to make jewels vanish, the way they disappear and the satisfying noises remind me of the compulsive glee of popping bubble wrap. I just called it up intending to play a level or two while I waited for a download to finish, and ended up playing 15 levels and enjoying them all.
To a point it is mindless clicking and not very challenging, but the story is great for a Match 3 and only hopes for a Season Match 4.
