this game is off the hook awesome
Lots of fun for young and not so young. A little over 3 hours for an experienced gamer. Quite a few trophies to collect. Funny characters. Cute story. Great animation. Humor is evident throughout the game. No traveling back and forth. Two little foxes (a scientist and a traveler) are out to save the world from an invasion of aliens. Although some will think the game is for children due to the graphics, kids would likely need help with quite a few puzzles. I think big children (like me) will also like this ? plenty of HOS and nice variety of puzzles. Travel with Sprill to the future and collect all the antiques that have been misplaced there; also travel to the past and collect all the future things to restore each era as it should be. My ideas of antiques when traveling to the future or futuristic items when traveling to the past don?t necessarily jibe with the artists. Besides collecting misplaced items, there are one or two catastrophes that need correcting. Sprill is good at breaking things and must find the pieces and put the objects back together. Several times he has to build something using a diagram. Hint recharges very fast. A nice afternoon playing alone or helping a youngster play.
It doesn't have the deepest storyline nor the toughest challenges, yet this game never ceases to entertain. The graphics are appealing, and the dialogs gave me the occasional chuckle. Gameplay-wise, the game is a mix of hidden-object search, adventure-game-like item management, and other misc puzzles, all well-integrated with the environment.
My first impression of this was that it was a kids' game because of the furry characters. Not so, although the dialogue could have used voice overs for younger players. Animations were fun, like watching a cartoon. I liked that this was pretty much straight hidden object, without the endless searching from room to room. Yet the searches were not too easy, and sometimes you had small tasks to do with the found objects. Some searches were open-ended and required a few brain cells, such as "find the modern objects" in an historical setting. Others, like finding the parts of the time machine (and then putting it together), were tricky, because who knows what a time machine should look like? I thought there was a lot of creativity in the challenges, especially the mini-games. For me, this is entertaining and unique enough to purchase.
A really fun, relaxing and well done family game. - Good storyline. - Really cute plush puppets are the protagonists (no voice over). - Great graphics. - Nice sound. - Many interactive HOS, with good level of challenge. Besides finding objects, you have to use them (like glue a piggy bank that you broke, find the coins and put in it). - HOS-themed (food, camping articles, etc..) - Mini games different from the usual - good challenge. Very good entertainment to play together with your children
