Frustrating to play

This is not the sort of hidden object where you find a lot of items in a scene; instead you find objects or parts of fragmented objects to complete a something such as a statue. Unfortunately the items are not only very small in some cases but also amazingly well blended & pretty impossible to find. If you click on the item shape you will be given a picture of what parts you need to find to complete it & what colour they are; once you leave the cavern finding them becomes marginally easier as long as the colour is bright. Even so I had to use the hint button far too many times. The cut scenes during the game are pretty awful & there are no voiceovers & you cannot skip lines of dialogue so you either have to watch it or skip it. There are seven areas to find & I got to number three in about 45 minutes to this seems to be a pretty short game. You are given a diary with a task list & a map that is not interactive; there is also a Log button which shows you the dialogue history. As you complete an area you win the ability to do a certain type of magic & to activate it there are mini games which are pretty much the old pipe game so not too difficult. The other mini game I played was a Simon Says. Despite the nice graphics this is an awkward, clunky & frustrating game from PlayFirst so my review is on the demo as I did not purchase.

Not as bad

I get every ones point I'v only played the demo and so far this is what I'v got from it the objects are blended in very well but by ajusting the screen i can find alot of them i may have to use the hint for 1 or 2 objects in every object list that you get I personaly found this game to be intresting but I would have to say I would not recamend this game to thos who dont have time on their hands and are playing on a desk top cuz of screen ajusting if you screen ajust every once in awile it makes it MUCH MUCH ESAYER cuz you can see the colors better and thats how I find almost all the items on the list theres usaly 1 or 2 that cant find and every once in awile the'll be in a place were you won't think ot look example: a naveblue seasell in a palm tree didn't even botherd to look there who woul when every other object is blended in so this is waht i say "laptop" not "desktop" "ajust the screen" every once in "TAKE YOU TIME" AND "LOOK VERY CLOSLY" ITS THAT TIP OF GAME and injoy the magic :)

Tamara the 13th

This is the worst game I have ever bought. I thought it would get better but not. Without hints I would have never finished because items were so small. Glad I only paid $2.99 or would have asked for my money back.

Very poor in all senses

Silly story, bad graphics, objects to find are badly done - the challenge is not "to find", but "to see", because they are tiny or exactly in the same color of background. Sometimes, even using hint, it is difficult to see - like tiny brown parts of a statue in brown rocks. No fun and no enthusiastic. Lot of reading and lot of go back and forth inside the cave. Tiresome and boring.

What were they thinking?!

I concur with SeaBamboo's review. The hidden pieces were next to impossible to find in many cases. I often just clicked randomly all over the screen and occasionally got lucky. Help should recharge faster as this is the only means to find many of the tiny obscure pieces. Despite the extreme difficulty in finding the hidden pieces of objects, the puzzles were rideculously easy. It makes little sense to have impossible hidden objects and then puzzles a 6 y.o. could figure out quickly. Advice to game developers: You've got the game backwards. Make the pieces a little easier to find and the puzzles more challenging.
