This game is designed like Rune Stones but lacks the variety. It's 42 levels with the same match board over and over and over. You have to clear all the colored background each level to reveal a piece of the treasure map. I haven't gotten to the end yet to search for the treasure but it doesn't feel fun enough getting there. A plus is it has a variety of mode difficulties. It also has nice obstacles and power up pieces on the play board but it gets monotonous clearing the same icons level after level. It would of been ok if all the pieces weren't a dreary color, the background picture doesn't even change. It feels like I'm playing the same level each time. I don't mind the board shape unchanging because I do hate clearing pieces out of awkward spaces so it is a plus the board stays square, but the same objective of clearing the background got boring. I did like the optional timer which makes this better than Rune Stones which has only a relaxed mode. I just wish they would of switched up the levels with something new or added more objectives to each level like collecting specific quantities of each icon would of been nice. What this game lacks Rune Stones has, but Rune Stones lack challenge. This developer just can't hit the nail on the head to totally satisfy. I still bought both games though, each for it's own pluses.
I have played this game at least twice. It's a match three game with some fun twists. The game is in two parts. First you are taken aboard The Flying Dutchman and must find coins to buy your way off. Once you are set ashore you are free to look for treasure on the islands. Dead pirates disrupt the game with curses to prevent you from finding the treasure. The game does have a glitch. At least on my computer. After playing for a while some of the graphics in the lower right corner start to blink. It could be a memory problem. I still love this funny silly game.
it wasn't a hard M3 game but it has 42 levels and it was fun as far as any M3 is.
This games seems like a free game that someone "beefed" up with piratey new age music. Although there are many puzzles, they're all pretty much the same #skill required never increases#. The graphics are bad, but look better when played in a window. Not really a storyline either and NOT worth $9.99...tho free it would be pretty allright.
