If you want adventure mixed in, this is not it. This is a true Hidden Object Game. No running around, back and forth, just objects to find. But, while I loved the first Becky Brogan for these reasons, I found I did not like this one. The scenes are way too dark to make out any detail, so the objects are not just hard to find but impossible. This Becky also did not have the charm of the first. I did like the dark, ominous music but that is not enough to recommend this game. One other thing: the name should be "Becky Brogan: The Institute." Then it would sync with the first Becky.

This is one of the worst HOGs I have come across. There is little to say about it, actually: the graphics are more than mediocre, it's only HO Scenes upon HO Scenes with uninteresting puzzles in between, like "find the differences", "jigsaw puzzle", etc... which, luckily, can be skipped without having to wait. The majority of HOs are ridiculously tiny [so are the differences], or perfectly invisible or totally unrecognizable; I had to find a TV set which didn't look like a TV set at all. Even some objects that are not part of a search are undefinable. In one scene, a big lump of brown; was it as bread loaf or a giant slug ? I'll never know. But the skull was visible. Why do they always have to put a skull in those HOGs ? In another scene you are supposed to find "objects that don't make sense", such as handcuffs and a clock. LOL. I was rolling on the floor....no hidden object makes sense, ever, in any pure HO Scene, in any game. That was funny. No action, no exploration, no useful objects, complete linearity. Too much being to much I quit the demo after 22 minutes and uninstalled it. I can't even recommend this game to HOG lovers, they deserve better.

The title suggested an adventure - there was no adventure, no plot, no story and really no point to the game at all. the music was dull and dreary just like the graphics. There was far to many and too much reading of note books, charts and folders. I gave up reading all these very early in the game. The game was tied down with hidden object scene after hidden object scene interdispersed with the occasional spot the difference or the spasmodic inclusion of a jigsaw puzzle. The hidden objects were, in most cases, very hard to find and discern amongst the dark and dingy backgrounds and the spot the differences were just as small and difficult to find. Lets face it, I don't mind a challenge at all, but as this game limped to its conclusion it became more boring and unteresting. I would suggest that even the most avid of hidden object gamers give this game a miss.
