A FUN Adventure

A thrilling story has you running all over an island to save the students that have been mysteriously trapped. This game is tons of fun and the graphics are great! I found the challenge level perfect for me as i had to think a bit, but never became frustrated or stuck. Good storyline! I would be interested in playing more games like this one anyday!

AWESOME GAME!!!

I JUST CANNOT SAY ENOUGH ABOUT THIS GAME!!!..LOVED EVERYTHING ABOUT IT....WISH WE HAD MORE LIKE THIS ONE..TY DEVS N KEEP EM COMING!!!

Definitely Worth a Credit

I really enjoyed this game overall. I usually don't buy premium games, but the bonus chapter was long so I felt it was worth the money. The wallpapers and art is also very well-done. I enjoyed the remote island setting, story line, supernatural element, and puzzles.

Good & thinking game

This game is a big step up from the Flux Family much harder for retrieving items and difficulty in working out what to do and what you actually have to do.

Good graphics

The game had good graphics but the plot was not what I was expecting for a collectors edition, perhaps I was expecting more from the story line.

Immersive and Different

Quickly summed up: Great intro movie, very good music, surprisingly clear and realistic locales, neat HO Scenes, HOs easy to find, friendly Hint System, many tasks to accomplish, not much backtracking, good puzzles, clear objectives, map showing your current location, heavy atmosphere rendered successfully, several features different from those we find in other games. However, no voice-over and a storyline that unfolds well but seems to have a weirdish ending; but I only played the demo. Perhaps the Bonus Chapter offers a better conclusion. 4.5 stars [rounded up to 5]

Intrigue awaits you?

I really enjoyed this game. The story probably doesn't depict what, in reality, a search and rescue looks like, but then again, it is not reality, it is just a game within a science fiction/mystery story of sorts. The story drew me in, the game play kept me interested, it is definitely an adventure game. There are two types of H0G searches -- lists and silhouettes -- sometimes with just a flashlight as your guide. There are several puzzles, most of which require finding an inventory item even to get started, but they are all easy to doable. There is some back and forth, but not an annoying amount. And you need to remember quite a bit not to get stuck, so there is some challenge. Two modes of play, regular and advanced. Advanced has slower reload times for hints and skips and no sparkles to indicate important areas. Both modes have sparkles for H0G scenes. I played in advanced mode and most unmarked items could be found pretty easily. I also played a bit as a new profile in regular mode. The sparkles were pretty subtle. The story: 4 college kids and a professor are doing research on two remote islands. Someone sends a distress call, and you go by rescue plane to help find the missing students. Telling more would give away too much. One thing that really impressed me was the photo realistic background artwork. CE extras: 1. The strategy guide -- It is thorough but not essential. The built in hint system is very helpful if you need it. 2. The bonus chapter -- I did not get bored playing the main game. I actually wanted to see what the bonus chapter would be about. I don't want to ruin that for you either, except to say it is not there to finish the main story. It was also, IMHO, quite long, and included some good detective work, more H0Gs of course, several puzzles (pretty easy), and some puzzling tasks unless you paid attention. 3. Concept art -- quite a few and they went from first color to finished scene. 4. Wallpapers -- several of those, but as impressive as I fo

SOMETIMES I FELT I NEEDED RESCUING

As a member of the Search & Rescue Team, you have to rescue 4 missing students. Great adventure game with plenty to do. A couple times, I felt like I needed rescuing, but the hint button shows you what location you need to seek to move forward. You just have to figure out how to get there before the map locations open up. Puzzles and HOS were easy but fun. Loved the sound effects - I felt I was standing next the waterfall and in the airplane. Get a journal with tasks to complete, story and map.

Too Short

Good game just too short...finished in 30 minutes after free play.

Well Worth Buying The CE On Special

Nice Graphics & Sound ... Some Of The Cut Scenes Were Pretty Good ... But They Lacked Voice Over To Add The Cream To The Game Experience ... Bought This On Special At Almost SE Price ... Not Bad Considering The Extra Game Is Quite Long And Worth The Price Paid ... Would Like To See More Games Like This, Just A Bit More Finished ...
