Review for game: Tourist Trap: Build the Nation's Greatest Vacations

From the World’s Largest Ball of Twine to the great Corn Palace nothing says Americana like the zany roadside attractions scattered across the good ol’ US of A. In Tourist Trap - Build the Nation’s Greatest Vacations, you become the mayor of a small Middle American town. Your citizens are full of unique and wacky ideas for what will entice the stream of family vacationers, college students and the buses of senior citizens with hope that they’ll choose your exit ramp on their cross-country travels.

Get Ready to Create a Truly Goofy Fun Vacation Location!

Very funny, zany ideas from your townspeople get thrown your way, after all, YOU are the Mayor! How you lay out/group your businesses does matter. Challenges keep popping up, sometimes overwhelmingly so...but then it would be too easy and you'd get bored if they didn't! You'll have fun with this one!

Not much of a story, but still a lot of fun

Not much of a story and it wasn't too difficult. But if you enjoy building towns, as I do, then you'll probably have fun with this game.

Restore Kitschville - slowly

I'm not usually a fan of this kind of game, but decided to try it out anyways, you never know! Well, this certainly didn't enhance my liking of the genre! Graphics are outdated, the music got on my nerves quickly, and gameplay itself wasn't very interesting. True, the characters and attractions are quirky and one-of-a-kind, but even for me, the game was way too slow and easy! All I seemed to be able to do was wait for money to come in and wait and wait and wait ...

Was ok.. until..

It was ok until I tried the Free area and it seems all you do is repair and put out fires. ( I didn't get too far along in the 'story' part because I was trying the trial and wanted to see what Free was like before I purchased it ) In the Free area, I've actually had buildings that I just repaired to only break down again before the truck made it back to the building, over and over - several times in a row. Then I had buildings that I just placed/built, to only break down right after, or catch on fire, then break down, at least 6 times. I was going to get it, but after hearing the crashing and burning sound over and over and so close together, it drove me close to nuts. I played the Free side about 20 minutes before I decided that I'm not going to get this game after all. If I wanted to hear all that noise and having to repair things over and over, I'll just leave my husband and son in charge of the house while I take a day off... (not gonna happen) sorry! I tried to like it.
