This game was very good indeed. The grafics, sound and storyline was very interesting for me. It has a lot of HOS and they are clear not dark and cluttered. I was well entertained. You have to find a missing child after a car accident. I played the demo and could not wait to purchase the game. It is a wonderful sequel to the first Broken Tunes. They both are excellent games. If you enjoy a great storyline, HOS and great puzzles that are not so difficult it makes you pull your hair out, then this is the game for you....Happy gaming fishies!!!!
Starts with the usual car crash caused by a spooky kid in the car with you, but the great radio music playing while you're driving and reading a map at the same time makes it just different enough. No wide screen on my laptop, but that's not an issue for me. Since this is a SE and not a CE there's no strategy guide, but the game doesn't need one. You do have a journal and lots of hints, with two levels of play. Adventure/IHOS hybrid, with clear graphics and a good mixture of puzzles and IHOS scenes. Maybe too many IHOS for some? Different tastes for different players! That great little jack-in-the-box imp is back, and the hint button is the teddy bear left by the little girl in the car blowing up a balloon for your next hint. Great touch! This is a great buy! I haven't decided on using a credit or taking advantage of the 30% off sale yet, but will buy.
I cannot understand why this is not a CE. It is 7 hrs long and has a seperate SG by the devs. Why not combined and make the last chapter the BC and make twice as much profit. That's what they did with Broken Tunes. Anyway, this is a super bumper full to bursting game with all your childhood Fairy Tale charcters come to life. The evil clown and his henchman are back, just as ugly and repulsive as before. The game is just as weird and bizarre as the first one, but wonderfully so. There are a lot of iHOS, it's true, but hey, that's the genre. The puzzles fall into all 3 categories for difficulty levels. The graphics are brilliant. The game is full of surprises and inventiveness and gripped me right off. But if I thought I was gripped at first, that was nothing compared to later, because it just kept getting better and better. The hint button is perfectly sufficient for help and advice and recharges fast. The story is well done, if a little creepy. But then, we like creepy, right? Right! Very well done. The navigation is absolutely instantaneous and some devs should take a leaf out of these ones book and see that they can programme their games to this degree. Excellent. There is no map, but the game is in sections to which you do not have to return after completion, until the end. Great end it is too. Leaves plenty of leeway for yet another one. I just hope it does not take as long for the next one. I will be first in line. Thanks devs, you rock. And thanks BF, you picked a good one.
This game is a delight and is filled with surprises. It has a huge amount of puzzles and HO scenes. So many things are going on, it is a joy to play. I keep expecting it to be ending but instead we open up another door to yet one more level of play. It is as good as many collector's editions, plus it has a lot of humor and joy. I recommend it highly.
Nice seq. to the Weird theme. Bought on 30% sale w/out playing demo. Love it. Inventory items on my pc will only play on reg screen, (can play on full & wide screen but can't get to inventory list. I have to uncheck both to be able to have my inventory list pop up. Color's r crisp & clear. Love that little imp running around. They have a lot of things to remember. Love That. Well worth a coupon code or 30% off. Well have to go know. Have to catch up w/that little guy. Two modes, difficult & expert. I don't consider myself an expert yet, but give me time.
What a beautiful and exquisite Game! Excellent Graphics and great details. I love the Evil Clown Character, very well drawn and funny looking. Mr Dudley is a great little amusing Character too! The story was superb and quite lengthy, and I loved playing every minute of it! Well worth playing again at some later date.
This game was fun and challenging! It took me quite a while to finish too, which makes me feel like I am getting my money's worth.
This second in the series is even better than the first. All the creepiness and beauty is in the small details... sound effects, beautiful graphics and creepy music. I too had a bit of trouble getting to the inventory yet i think this is an A1! game. I am sure I will replay this many times as I did the first. A definite must buy & a discount with it too. Don't pass this one up.
I love the "scary" games with moving parts, walking into buildings and using inventory items to play the HO games. Just playing the demo, I already see this game as mine in my future!
Due to content which I considered "objectionable," I didn't play the first one. Thankfully, they resolved that issue in this game. I really enjoyed ?Weird Park: Scary Tales.? The length was great and it was VERY challenging. I relied upon the hint quite a bit. Without a strategy guide built into the game, it was tough. I had to use the blog walkthrough several times. My only complaint is that I wish ALWR would have focused on one fairytale. Their graphics are so superb and their level of difficulty is so high, that I wish they would have just picked one story to explore at length. Honestly, they should have been the developer to take on the ?Nutcracker? or ?Cinderella? and not you know who!!! ALWR?s games are just so complete and thorough. My only disappointment was not being able to play more of each particular story. Each episode was more like a teaser. So, I would recommend this game even if you haven?t played the first one. If you are up for a real challenge and want a longer playing experience, then I would try this installment. I just hope that in the future ALWR makes more pure Sci-fi games like ?Eternal Journey: New Atlantis,? or fairytales, or something else like ?Snark Busters.? Whatever they decide to do, I hope they leave the unnecessary questionable content out like they did this time and not allow their ship to be commandeered by outside influences. But if you like ALWR games, then I would at least try the demo.
